Another lovely pre-wedding shoot with a couple – Nicola & Steven – marrying later this year. We met at St Josephs Church, Highgate Hill, London – a beautiful large Church hidden away in leafy North London. We had a look around and had a chat about shot composition and weather issues. I told them that actually, an overcast day is way better than a very sunny day for photographs, some rainy day photos can look moody and atmospheric. After looking at the beautiful church, we walked over the road to Waterlow Park for a pre-wedding shoot. You’ve got to love London…one minute you are in the bustling metropolis and the next you are walking through a gorgeous park so quiet you can hear the birds chirping. During our lovely walk around, we found some fabulous places to take photos – a pagoda, williow tree and some long grass – all great place for photos. The weather was perfect – warm but overcast so there were no harsh shadows or squinting eyes.
Have a look at the lovely photographs – so natural – it helps to have such a lovely couple and so obviously in love… I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding in August!
